Planning your 2027 season at Camping Le Mont Libre
Published 5 November 2026
Already thinking about your 2027 holidays? Camping Le Mont Libre in Gannat reopens on 26 March 2027. This season's prices are online, and the 13 cottages and 60 pitches can be booked now, with a 30% deposit and free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival. Here is how to choose your dates, your accommodation and your option.
Picking the right dates in 2027
The campsite is open from 26 March to early November 2027. The season is split into three periods, which set the price:
- Low season: 26 March to 29 April.
- Mid season: 30 April to 3 July, then from 3 October.
- High season: 4 July to 28 August, plus the Ascension (6 to 9 May) and Whitsun (14 to 18 May) long weekends.
For families following the French school calendar, the 2027 summer holidays start on Saturday 3 July in all zones. In spring, zone A (including Clermont-Ferrand and Lyon) is on holiday from 10 to 26 April, zone B from 17 April to 3 May and zone C (including Paris) from 3 to 19 April. Ascension Thursday falls on 6 May 2027 and pupils have no school on Friday 7 May, making a four-day weekend. The official dates are published on service-public.gouv.fr (in French).
The spring holidays and the weeks of June fall in low or mid season: the kindest period for your budget, with days that are already long.
Cottage or pitch: choosing your option
The cottages
The campsite has 13 cottages, numbered 61 to 73. Ten are Tout Confort cottages (2 bedrooms, up to 4 people) and three are Grand Confort cottages (3 bedrooms, up to 6 people): Rose, Suzanne and Violette. Bed linen and towels are included. End-of-stay cleaning is compulsory and added when you book: €35 for a Tout Confort, €45 for a Grand Confort.
Prices per night in 2027 (the weekly price covers 7 nights):
- Tout Confort cottage: €60 in low season, €80 in mid season, €105 in high season, or €357, €476 and €595 per week.
- Grand Confort cottage: €80, €105 and €125 per night, or €476, €595 and €714 per week.
From 29 August to 2 October, cottage prices are available on request on 04 65 84 60 12. Each cottage has its own page, with photos, floor plan and calendar, on our cottages page.
The pitches
The 60 pitches take tents, caravans and motorhomes. Pitches 1 to 6 are reserved for motorhomes, and pitches 26 and 27 are accessible to people with reduced mobility. The price includes 2 people, 1 vehicle and electricity: €20 per night in low and mid season, €26 per night from 2 July to 28 August, or €120 and €156 per week. Depending on the period, add €4 or €5 per extra adult, €3 or €4 per child aged 6 to 17 (free under 6) and €2 per dog. Full details are on the pitches page and in our price list.
In all cases, tourist tax is added: €0.55 per adult per night.
Booking: how it works
- Choose your dates and accommodation on the booking page. The interactive map shows which cottages and pitches are free.
- For a specific pitch, enter its number in the "remarks" field: it is allocated to you if it is free on your dates.
- Pay the 30% deposit. The balance is due 7 days before arrival for a cottage, and on the day of arrival for a pitch.
Cancellation is free up to 7 days before arrival. After that, half of the total price of the stay remains payable. You can pay by card, cheque or bank transfer.
Check-in is from 4 pm for cottages (check-out before 11 am) and from 3 pm for pitches (check-out before 12 pm). Arriving between 7 pm and 10 pm on a pitch? Book and pay online before you set off: you will receive your access details and your pitch number.
Planning around the summer highlights
In July and August, the campsite pool is open. On Mondays, there is a nature walk at 9.30 am and a stargazing session at 10 pm. In Gannat, the Les Cultures du Monde festival takes place every year at the end of July, at the Champ de Foire. The 2027 dates have not yet been published: keep an eye on the festival website and book early if you are aiming for that week.
Around the campsite, the Sioule gorges, Vichy, Paléopolis and the Chaîne des Puys are all less than an hour's drive away. You will find ideas for outings on our activities page and on the Val de Sioule tourist office website.
Our checklist before you book
- Compare your school holidays with the price periods: a week in June costs less than a week in July.
- Count the beds. For more than 4 people you need a Grand Confort cottage, and there are only three.
- Give the length of your vehicle if you are coming with a motorhome or a trailer.
- Bring your dog: dogs are welcome, on a lead within the campsite.
- Note the cancellation deadline: free up to 7 days before arrival.
